S. Queeney
Dr. Queeneys accomplishments are many. From 1980 to 1986, she was Assistant Director of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation-funded Continuing Professional Education Development Project. She served as Coordinator of the 1986-91 National Consortium of W.K. Kellogg Foundation- funded Continuing Professional Education Projects and as Chair of that groups 1986 invitational conference on continuing professional education, A Call to Action, and their 1991 conference, An Agenda for Action. In 1991, with Clifford Baden of Harvard University, she founded the Leadership Institute for Continuing Professional Education, serving as co-chair and faculty member. In 1992-93, she founded and co-chaired the American Society for Training and Developments Continuing Professional Education Network. The Editor of The Journal of Continuing Higher Education (since 1985), Dr. Queeney has contributed to the literature of her field, including the book Assessing Needs in Continuing Education and numerous articles, reports, and book chapters. She is a widely sought speaker and presenter at professional conferences. In recognition for her contributions, Dr. Queeney has received the Association for Continuing Higher Educations Meritorious Service Award (1995), the National University Continuing Education Associations Continuing Professional Education Individual Service Award (1991), Penn State Continuing Educations Service to the Profession Award (1991), and the American Association for Adult and Continuing Educations Continuing Professional Education Medallion (1990). |
